DAE switch from a shop vac and wire brush to a rotary whip? Never going back
For my first 3 years I did every flue with a shop vac and a hand wire brush and it took me almost 2 hours a chimney. Bought a rotary whip setup last spring after a guy in Columbus showed me his and now the same job runs about 45 minutes with way less dust in the living room. Anyone else make the switch and did you bother keeping the old brush kit around for anything?

Man I feel this so hard, those 2 hour flue jobs with the shop vac and hand brush were brutal and the dust everywhere was the worst part. I kept my old brush kit for about a year thinking I'd need it for tight bends or odd sizes but honestly it just sat in the truck collecting dust. Only thing I still use the hand brush for is a quick touch up on the smoke shelf, everything else runs through the whip now.
