Watched a neighbor nearly start a fire because they skipped their sweep... this has to stop.

Actually chimney sweeps get all the attention, but dryer vent cleaning is just as important for preventing fires. That buildup of lint is super flammable. Same goes for kitchen hoods over the stove if you cook a lot. People forget those need regular cleaning too.

Heard about my neighbor's dryer vent catching fire last winter. Scary stuff, just a little lint built up over time. Makes you want to go check your own right now.

Our fire department's report last year had chimney fires as the leading cause. So I get why sweeps are the focus. Dryer vents matter, but chimneys are just a bigger deal.
