Just had my favorite local bao place in Shanghai close down without warning last Friday.

I went for my usual weekend lunch and found the shutters down with a simple 'for rent' sign, after eating there almost every Saturday for the past five years.

Five years every Saturday and they didn't even say goodbye?

That "didn't even say goodbye" part is the worst. I just had to accept some people are bad at endings and focus on the good Saturdays.
