My uncle's 'worthless' calligraphy set was the real deal all along
I brushed off his old ink stones and brushes for years, figured they were tourist junk from a Shanghai night market. Then I had them appraised in Beijing last month and the lady nearly dropped her teacup, turns out one brush is from the 1960s and worth around $1,200. Has anyone else inherited something they thought was fake but turned out to be legit?
