She tapped my shoulder mid-bowl and said 'louder, you eat like a foreigner,' then demonstrated by dragging her noodles so hard the broth splattered my shirt, and now I still wonder if that was a lesson or just her having fun with me, has anyone else been publicly schooled in proper eating etiquette over there?
