Overheard a bootcamp grad say Python is the only language beginners need
Told me last week that JavaScript is just 'extra noise' for new people. Called me old-school for teaching HTML and CSS first.

Feels like skipping the foundation and hoping the roof stays up.

That 'skipping the foundation' line hits close to home @daniel552. I see it all the time with people buying cheap phone chargers that fry their batteries. They save twenty bucks now but end up spending sixty later to fix what broke. Same with people ignoring oil changes in their cars until the engine seizes up. We all want the shortcut but the roof always caves in eventually.
