Bought a fancy $60 hand grinder, my old $20 blade one wins
The burr grinder jammed on a dark roast Saturday morning and I spent 15 minutes shaking out coffee dust, then my beat-up blade grinder did the job in 20 seconds, so has anyone else gone back to the cheap route after a high-end gadget fails?

The same thing happened to me last year with a $50 hand grinder that seized up on some oily beans. My old blade grinder from the grocery store, probably $15 at most, has been my daily driver ever since. It makes a bit of a mess and the grind is uneven, but honestly for my French press I can't tell the difference. Fancy gear is great until it decides to quit on you at 7 AM.
