My daily coffee pic habit made the routine more fun

I started taking quick photos of my pour over each morning. It turns a simple task into something I look forward to, and I'd like to hear if anyone has similar little rituals.

Ever tried turning your morning coffee into a ritual? My version is just staring at the kettle, which makes @the_alex's idea of small acts of attention feel like a clumsy little act of war.

My grandma used to save the little foil seals from her instant coffee jars. She had a whole drawer full, sorted by color. I started doing it with my tea bags, the little paper tags. It’s not about the stuff, it’s about marking that you were there, fully, for a minute. My drawer is a quiet record of thousands of mornings I actually noticed.

It's a quiet kind of rebellion against the autopilot of daily life. I do the same thing by deliberately making my bed or lighting a specific candle when I sit down to read. It's just a tiny, pointless act of paying attention. Those small gestures seem to carve out a bit of meaning from the mundane.
