My first bag of beans was a total letdown

I grabbed it from a street stall thinking it was a great deal. The stuff inside was way past its prime and made my morning cup taste like dirt. I forced myself to finish it just to avoid tossing it out. It taught me to always ask about freshness before I spend a dime.

Tbh forcing yourself to finish a bad bag is the worst. I started using old beans just for cold brew, since the method hides a lot of flaws. It totally saved a couple bags I thought were garbage.

Hey, did you read that thing about how cold brew is easier on old beans? It said the long soak doesn't pull out as many of the harsh flavors. Your trick totally lines up with that.
