My neighbor watched me brew and said my water was way too hot
He pointed at my kettle and said 'that steam looks angry, you're burning it.' I started checking with a thermometer and now aim for 200 degrees, not a full boil. Anyone else get called out on their water temp?

But what if the real game changer is how it makes him feel like he's teaching you something? My dad lights up when he gives me advice that actually works. That shared win might be the best part.
