Vent: My $80 milk frother collects dust because I went back to a whisk

Bought one of those electric frothers last fall after my sister swore by hers. Used it maybe 4 times. It makes foam fine, but cleaning the little coil thing takes longer than just heating milk and using a regular whisk for 20 seconds. Plus the whisk actually makes thicker foam for my latte. Anyone else ditch a gadget for the simple tool after spending money on it?

Same here. The frother sits in the drawer while my hand whisk gets used daily. Some things just don't need a motor.
