Had a speaker on campus in Colorado get heckled so bad she couldn't finish her talk last spring.
I tried just sitting quietly with my hands folded during the whole thing and it actually made the people around me stop and think about what they were doing, has anyone else tried staying silent instead of walking out?

Happened to me at my cousin's wedding last summer. Tried to do this dramatic spin on the dance floor to show off my new dress and my heel caught the hem. Wound up doing this weird stumbling shuffle straight into the dessert table. Knocked over a whole tray of those little chocolate cups and had chocolate all down my front for the rest of the night. My aunt still brings it up every family gathering.
