Warning: That 'free speech' speaker invite I pushed for got my club's funding frozen for 3 months

I convinced my student group to invite a controversial left-wing commentator (you know, to challenge the usual right-wing ban debates), but the admin hit us with a 'security cost' loophole that drained our budget. Has anyone else run into hidden fees being used to silence speakers?

I've been watching some of the recent bans and they seem pretty random to me, like one post gets removed and another similar one stays.
