Went to 11 free speech talks at Ohio State this year and only 3 had anyone show up to protest
I started keeping a note on my phone back in January after a buddy swore every campus speaker event in Columbus turns into a shouting match, and the count hit 11 talks with just 3 protests by the end of spring. The weird part is the 3 that drew crowds were the ones nobody would guess, a talk on zoning policy and two on farm subsidies, while the big name speaker in April got maybe 40 people total. Is anyone else seeing this where the quiet events pull the pushback, or is it just my campus?
