Changed my mind about buying those graded comic boxes

I always thought those hard plastic graded comic boxes were a waste of money. I kept my few slabbed books in a regular long box for years. Then last month, I moved apartments and my Amazing Spider-Man #300, the one I paid $400 for, got a tiny corner ding because it shifted around. I was so mad. I finally caved and bought a proper BCW graded comic box for about $35. It holds 12 books and has these foam inserts that keep everything locked in place. It feels so much safer now, and I wish I had done it sooner. Has anyone else had a close call that made them switch how they store their pricier books?

Ugh, that's the worst. I started using those foam inserts for everything after a similar scare.

Those foam things are a total waste of money though, @william_taylor.
