Just found out my local comic shop in Springfield has a free 'first issue' program for new readers
I was totally skeptical they'd just give stuff away, but the owner showed me a whole box of #1 issues they set aside to help people jump into new series. He gave me the first issue of 'Department of Truth' and now I'm hooked. What's the coolest way a shop has helped you get into a comic?

Ever ask for a reading order? My shop wrote a list on a scrap of receipt paper for the whole Hickman Avengers run.

That receipt paper list is a whole mood. I once tried to make my own reading order for that run and ended up with a notebook page that looked like a conspiracy board, all arrows and question marks. I mean, I had to google what a "time runs out" even was halfway through. Pretty sure I read Infinity in the wrong spot and just had to roll with it.
