I watched the full 2016 debate with Hillary Clinton again last night, and my take is different now.

Oh man, @kelly_hill, you're not wrong. My brain just checks out after the first few rounds of them talking over the moderator. It's like watching two people argue about the rules of a board game nobody actually wants to play. I start noticing the weird background details instead, like that one guy's tie or how many times someone says "folks.

Just found out my local comic shop in Springfield has a free 'first issue' program for new readers

Sounds like @burns.ruby and I need the same conspiracy board.

I saved over $80 on a trip to Portland by using the city's bike share for a week instead of renting a car.

That point about it being more fun is SO true. You see a city in a totally different way when you're not stuck in traffic or looking for parking. You notice little shops and cafes you'd just zoom past in a car. It turns the trip into an adventure, not just a list of places to get to. The money saved is great, but that feeling of actually being IN the city is the real win.

My writing group went from flat to fantastic after we ditched the usual prompts

Ngl, that specific object trick can work, but sometimes the vague prompts are good too. They leave more room for your own weird ideas to come out.

I finally listened to my friend who said to never appeal a content removal on that one platform

So you actually get punished for asking them to look again? I always figured the appeal button was there to fix mistakes. Hearing your story makes it seem like they just want to delete stuff and move on without any pushback. That really changes how I see the whole system. It's not about being fair at all, it's about making problems go away quietly.
