Just saw a guy at the Denver Comic Con wearing a full, screen-accurate 1992 Batman Returns suit in 85-degree heat.
That level of dedication makes me think some of us care more about the costume than the actual comic book stories anymore, right?

Man's out there fighting crime and heat stroke at the same time, gotta respect it. The sweat inside that rubber suit must be its own little ecosystem by now. At that point, you're not just a fan, you're a method actor in your own personal superhero movie. Dude probably considers the suffering part of the costume's authenticity, lmao.

Wait, a rubber suit? That sounds like a torture device in this heat, honestly.

Method actor in your own personal superhero movie" is spot on. I see this everywhere now, where the work to look the part matters more than the thing itself. It's like the costume is the real hobby, not the story.
