Last Tuesday my comic shop got 4 boxes of silver age books and I almost missed all of them
I stopped by Empire Comics in Rochester on my lunch break last Tuesday and the owner was still unpacking a collection some guy sold him that morning. Four long boxes of silver age stuff, and I only had 20 minutes before I had to be back at work. I grabbed a beat up copy of Strange Tales 110 for $40 and literally ran out the door. Came back at 5:30 and the rest was already picked over, a guy drove in from Syracuse and cleaned out all the early Fantastic Four. Did anyone else hit a shop that day or was it just my bad luck with timing?

I mean that's just how it goes with those collections, you gotta drop everything when you hear about one.
