Last Wednesday was the worst comic shop day I've had in 5 years

I went to grab the new issue of my pull list and some dude in a Deadpool hoodie spent 20 minutes arguing with the cashier about variant cover prices, holding up the whole line. Has anyone else had their weekly trip ruined by someone turning a simple pickup into a whole debate?

Last Wednesday a guy in a Punisher shirt held up the line for ten minutes because the store only had the main cover of the new TMNT run and he wanted the 1:50 variant. He kept saying it was "false advertising" even though the website clearly said "while supplies last." I almost just left my books on the counter and walked out.

Honestly, brooke71, that Punisher shirt guy is a whole type. Ngl, I had almost the exact same thing happen at my shop when the last Spider-Gwen run dropped. Tbh, this dude in a faded Deadpool hoodie spent like 15 minutes arguing that the store "owed" him the virgin cover because he "called ahead." Meanwhile there's a line of six people just trying to buy their pull lists and go home. It's always the ones who act like they're protecting some sacred comic code who end up holding everyone else hostage over a 1:50 ratio book.
