One guy at a con actually quoted my favorite Silver Age panel back to me
I was browsing dollar bins at a small show in Toledo, and this older dude pointed at my shirt and said, 'That's from Flash #123, right?' Nobody I know gets that specific. Has anyone else bonded with a stranger over an obscure issue?

Well, that's almost as rare as finding a Silver Age book in the dollar bin that's actually worth something. I guess there's still a few of us walking around who remember reading those issues off the newsstand instead of off a tablet. Sounds like you met a kindred spirit who's been storing that trivia in his head since the Johnson administration.

Is it just me who thinks that guy probably also remembers what he paid for a gallon of gas in '72? I met a old timer at a con once who could tell you the exact cover price of every book he ever bought off the spinner rack, down to the penny. It's a totally different kind of memory, not just trivia, but like a mental ledger of his whole life in comics. Makes you wonder what useless stuff we'll be hoarding in our brains thirty years from now.
