TIL that being honest about a comic's value made my day

I saw a key Spider-Man comic in a bargain bin priced super low. Knowing it was worth a lot more, I felt bad about just buying it. So I told the seller what it could really sell for. They were so happy, they gave me a fair deal on it. Feels like a win for both of us as fans.

Reminds me of my friend telling a vendor about an underpriced book, and they just gave him an extra one for free.

Seriously, what made you decide to speak up? Most people would have just grabbed the steal and kept quiet. Were you worried they'd get mad, or did you just not want that guilt hanging over you?
