Need a reliable painter in the GTA ASAP!

Looking for a good painting crew for my main floor and stairwell. We have family coming to stay soon and need someone who can start pretty quickly and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Any recommendations?

Heard a guy at the lumber yard complaining his drawer fronts were bowing after a month

He was blaming the wood, but when I asked, he admitted he'd been using 1/4 inch ply for the backs and skipping the center guide on his undermount slides. That's a guaranteed warp. Anyone have a go-to method for keeping wide drawer fronts flat?

A book said some orchids trick male wasps into trying to mate with them

I was reading an old botany book from the library called 'Plant Deceptions' and found a part about the hammer orchid. It says the flower looks and smells exactly like a female wasp. The male tries to mate with it and gets pollen stuck on his head. He then flies off and does the same thing to another flower. I always thought pollination was just about bees getting food. This feels more like a weird plant prank. Do you think this is a smart trick or just kind of sad for the wasp?

Just realized those cheap torque wrenches from Harbor Freight are a total trap

Bought one for like $40 thinking it was fine for light work. Used it on a Cessna 172's wheel bolts last spring. Found out it was off by almost 15 foot-pounds when I cross-checked with a calibrated Snap-on. Had to re-torque every single bolt on three planes I'd worked on. Wasted a whole Saturday and probably $200 in my own time fixing my mistake. What's a decent mid-range torque wrench brand you guys actually trust?

Hot take: The story about the water in Flint just vanished from my feed overnight

I was following a local reporter from Michigan who kept posting updates about the lead pipes. Her posts were getting shared a lot last Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, every single one of them was gone from the main news app I use. It wasn't just buried, the links were dead. I had to dig through her personal blog to find the new test results showing a specific school's water at 22 parts per billion. Has anyone else noticed a big story just get wiped like that?
