Wichita in July is brutal for a 40 yard pour, that sun just cooks the mix before you can even get a finish on it. But concrete doesn't really "blow" a form, the form either held or it didn't, and if it went bad that fast it was probably the mix or the slump running too wet. We had a 40 yard wall pour outside Tulsa back in 2019 and the issue was the retarder wasn't dosed right for the heat, whole thing set up on us in about 20 minutes. Stripping and re-pouring after lunch means the first one was already too far gone to save, which usually points to a bad batch or someone adding water on the truck. Curious what the actual cause was, because "blew a form" gets thrown around for a lot of stuff that isn't the form at all.
