Shoutout to the Wednesday night that saved my week in the weeds
Last Wednesday was a nightmare from the jump. 86'd salmon by 5pm, a ticket machine jam, and a ticket for a well-done ribeye with no substitutions. I was ready to walk out. But then one of the line cooks whipped up a quick family meal from extra veg and some day-old bread, and we all sat down for 10 minutes. Somehow that reset the whole shift. The rest of the night ran smooth and we even sent out some free desserts to the last table. Has anyone else had one weird break that turned the whole night around?
