Rant: watched a crew pour a driveway in 90 degree heat with zero shade cloth

Drove past a job off Highway 17 yesterday around 2pm and these guys were finishing a big slab with the sun beating down. No shade cloth, no misters, just raw concrete baking right in front of me. I know we all gotta hustle but that slab's gonna be a spider web of cracks by this weekend. Has anyone else seen crews cut corners like that and had to fix the mess later?

Double down on what Piper said. Saw the exact same thing on a commercial lot last year. Contractor poured in August heat, no sun protection, just left it to cook. That slab looked like a dried up lake bed inside two weeks. Property owner ended up paying a separate crew to rip it out and redo it with proper curing blankets. Cost them double what the first guy charged. Concrete doesn't care about your timeline, it's gonna do what the temperature tells it to do.

Watched a crew do the same thing last summer and that job cracked so bad it looked like a map.
