Compared the JFK files released in 2017 vs the 2023 dump last night

I spent like 3 hours going through the newer release side by side with the older one. The difference in redaction levels is crazy - the 2017 stuff is basically blacked out in key spots while the 2023 batch has actual names and locations visible. Makes me wonder what else they held back the first time around lol. Has anyone else cross-referenced specific pages to see what changed?

The part about "Oswald's time in Mexico City" is exactly where I saw the biggest change too, but here's something weird I noticed. The 2023 dump has handwritten margin notes in the same handwriting across multiple unrelated documents, which nobody online has talked about yet. That means someone was actively annotating these files well after the assassination, maybe even into the 1970s, connecting dots between different agencies.

Wait, "actual names and locations" visible in the 2023 dump? That's wild. I remember combing through the 2017 files and seeing whole paragraphs just completely blacked out, especially around Oswald's time in Mexico City. If they released that stuff now, it basically confirms they were hiding specific agents or sources for another six years. I gotta pull up my old screenshots from 2017 and see if any of those names are the same people I saw speculated about online back then. That detail about locations too, if they were covering up where a meeting or a safe house was, that tells you they were still protecting someone even a decade after the supposed last files.
