Got banned from a doomsday prep forum for asking about tap water

Wednesday I posted in a prepper group about boil water advisories after the flood in Cedar Rapids, and someone went ballistic because I mentioned public utilities might actually be okay. Mods removed it in 20 minutes and banned me, saying I was 'normalizing government control' even though I just wanted backup plans. Is it just me or do these communities shut down real talk faster than the agencies they don't trust?
