Hot take: that cheap 30 dollar GPS tracker I bought on Amazon nearly cost me my truck
I picked up this no-name GPS tracker for my work truck back in March, figured it was better than nothing. It worked fine for about two weeks, then just stopped sending updates (dead battery, I guess). The real kicker came when I tried to get a refund and the seller had vanished - store page was gone. Anyone else get burned by those super cheap trackers from random sellers?

Was yours definitely dead or could it just be a subscription thing? I've had cheap trackers work fine for years if you toss em on a solar charger or hardwire them.

Oh man, my buddy had one of those cheap ones and it "died" on him after three months. Turns out the battery was just COMPLETELY shot, wouldn't hold a charge even on a solar panel all day. He tried everything, I swear he even took it apart to see if he could swap the battery himself. Nothing worked.
