Hate it when tools just give up like that, no warning at all. Cordless stuff is great until it's not, and then you're scrambling with a backup that's seen better days. Makes you wonder if the old corded models were built tougher or if we're all just paying for convenience now.

Scanned my last years receipts and immediately tossed the originals. Two days later the IRS asked for an audit. Had to dig through the trash like a raccoon at midnight. Learned my lesson - keep the tax stuff physical for at least a few years.
