My digital scale started giving weird readings halfway through a job in Phoenix last month
I was measuring out some granular bait for a warehouse in Phoenix last month, and my scale just started bouncing between numbers for no reason. Turns out it was a dead battery, but I lost a good 20 minutes checking if the surface was level or if I bumped it. Has anyone else had gear screw up on them right when you're in the middle of something critical?

Was it the heat messing with the display or maybe a bad connection in the battery compartment?

Used to think it was just the heat or a loose wire. Saw a post on here where a guy took his battery terminals apart and found a bad solder joint inside the controller box. Cleaned it up and hasn't had a problem since. Changed my mind on it being just a simple loose connection thing. Now I check the whole circuit path if I see flickering.
