That time a guy at a gun show tried to convince me chemtrails are real
I was at a gun show in Phoenix about 2 years ago, just browsing tables, when this older guy in a camo hat starts talking to me about contrails. He pointed up and said the government has been spraying barium and aluminum for decades to control the weather. I asked him for proof and he pulled out a binder full of printouts from random blogs. I told him I work with weather data and the science doesn't back it up. He just shook his head and walked away. Has anyone else run into someone who was 100% sure about a conspiracy but had nothing solid to back it up?

Did they ever figure out why the chemtrail guys always have the most immaculate lawns? I saw a guy at a flea market in Tucson selling "chemtrail neutralizing crystals" out of the back of his minivan. He had a whole display set up with a little fog machine and a laminated card explaining how to "activate" them in direct sunlight. I asked if he used them on his own lawn. He got real quiet.

Man, that Tucson guy with the fog machine is gold lol. What worked for me with a chemtrail dude was just laughing and saying "hey, prove it with one solid study from a real science journal, I'll buy you lunch." He kept trying to show me YouTube videos and I was like "nah man, peer reviewed or nothing." He eventually gave up and wandered off to look at knives. Sometimes you just gotta make it a challenge they can't meet.
