inFroze my butt off for 3 hours trying to fix a snowmachine on the Denali Highway last week
Man, that's the worst. Did you at least have a good emergency kit with extra fuel line and clamps, or did you just assume you'd never need it out there?

inTIL a forum mod in a woodworking group banned me for saying pine was fine for shelves
Four years ago I got booted from a local woodworking forum for saying you can glue pressure treated lumber for outdoor benches. The mod claimed the glue wouldn't hold because of the chemicals in the wood. I used Titebond III and those benches are still sitting on my deck right now after three winters. It's weird how these groups pick one tiny rule and act like you committed a crime. Pine is totally fine for garage shelves as long as you don't load them with engine blocks. Some mods just like flexing their tiny bit of power.

inWarning: my kimchi went from perfect to fizzy disaster in under 48 hours after I moved it to a warmer spot in my kitchen.
@hugo236 that dirty socks and gym bag description is spot on. I had a batch of sauerkraut once that smelled exactly like that and I tried to save it by skimming the top but you just can't. @the_julia what you said about trusting your nose is the real key here. The good fizz has this bright almost citrusy sharpness to it while the bad stuff hits you with that chemical acetone smell first. I've ruined a few batches by being too hopeful and trying to let them ride it out.

inWalked through a model home in Phoenix that had a fake fireplace in the master bathroom
Back when we redid our place in the valley, I threw in one of those wall mounted electric fireplace units instead of gas. Looks the part, remote works fine, and we maybe use it 3 times a year when it actually drops below 60. @ryan_nelson you're spot on about the moisture thing, gas lines in a bathroom just seems like asking for trouble down the road. The towel warmer was the real star, used that thing almost daily, and cost a fraction of what the fireplace setup would have been.

inGot told my AI captions were 'too robotic' by a client in Portland
Oh man, I actually see it a little differently. I mean, yeah, AI can sound stiff if you just copy-paste the first output, but the problem might be more about how you're using the tool than the tool itself. You can totally keep the SEO keywords in there, you just gotta rewrite the first sentence or two to sound like a real person talking. Maybe try starting the description with a casual question or an observation before you drop in all the keywords. I don't think the AI is the enemy here, it's more about layering your own voice on top of what it gives you.
