That whole moon landing hoax thing always seemed like nonsense to me.

But then my uncle who worked at NASA in the 70s showed me some old internal memos about faking footage for a backup plan in case something went wrong, and now I'm not so sure. Has anyone else heard stories like that from former employees?

Ngl, that sounds sketchy but probably just old contingency stuff blown out of proportion.

Actually heard something similar from a buddy whose dad worked at Cape Canaveral in the 60s, he said they had whole binders of fake telemetry and staged landing photos ready just in case the live broadcast failed. Always figured it was just standard CYA stuff, not proof of a coverup.
