Just wasted $450 on a fancy laser level that can't even handle direct sunlight on a patio
That thing was useless outside after 10 AM, so now I'm stuck with an expensive paperweight and back to using my old bubble level.

Did you try using it with a red light filter or just give up right away?

Oh man that stinks! I had the same problem with a Bosch laser I bought for laying paver stones in my backyard. I finally gave up and just started using it at dawn before the sun got too high and that actually worked okay for the big layout marks. But honestly for the fine tuning I went back to my old Stanley level with the little vials too. Those things never let you down no matter what time of day it is. Maybe you can sell that laser on Facebook Marketplace to someone who works indoors or at night.
