Rant: A guy at the supply house told me to stop mixing thinset by hand and he was dead right
I was at Contractors Supply on 5th in Reno picking up a pallet of mortar and the counter guy Dale watched me load it and said flat out "you're gonna burn out your wrist mixing 60 pounds by hand, buy the paddle." I ignored him for 3 bathrooms because I figured 20 bucks was a waste, then my forearm locked up mid-trowel on a tub surround and I lost half a day. Bought the mixing paddle that same afternoon and knocked out the next two showers with zero flare-ups. Anyone else got a cheap tool they put off buying way too long?
