Vent: A master electrician told me to stop using Wagos on 220v circuits, and I ignored him

Told him I knew better, used them on three dryer outlets in a new build near Phoenix, and had to rip all three out after one melted down and tripped the breaker after 2 months - has anyone else been burned by ignoring a trade veteran's specific warning?

Man "ignoring experienced advice usually costs you more" is the truest thing I've ever read. I did the same dumb thing with wire nuts on a 50 amp range circuit. Old timer told me to use split bolts and tape. I was like nah man, wire nuts are fine. Took me six months and a burnt neutral to learn my lesson. Cost me a grand in damage and a whole Saturday rewiring. Now I listen to the guys who've been doing this since before I was born.
