Walked into a hardware store in Omaha looking for PVC glue and the kid at the counter tried to sell me a $400 inspection scope instead because he thought I was a plumber

He kept insisting I needed it to 'check for hidden cracks behind the wall' and I finally had to show him my trucker logbook and explain I just wanted to patch a leaky pipe on my rig, has anyone else had a sales pitch go completely sideways on them like that?
