Stumbled on a stat that 68% of clients want eco-friendly salon products but only 23% of us offer them (from a trade survey last month)

Found that nugget in the Journal of Cosmetology while waiting for a color to process, and it got me wondering how many of you have actually switched to greener brands or stuck with what works because clients don't ask?

Hang on, let me ask this - do you think the clients who say they want eco-friendly stuff are actually willing to pay more for it, or are they just saying it because it sounds good? Cause I've had people ask about green products but when I listed prices they backed off real fast. That survey number feels off to me, like maybe those clients don't realize eco stuff usually costs more to make. It's one thing to want it, another to actually buy it when you see the price tag.

Fair question. Have you ever had someone actually pull out their wallet after you explained the price difference, or do they just nod and walk away? Because I've seen clients who talked big about sustainability but couldn't tell you what it actually costs to source materials that way. It feels like a lot of people want the label without the reality of paying extra.
