Used a $6 orange wood stick on a client's cuticles instead of my usual metal pusher last Tuesday, and I'm never going back
I grabbed the cheap wood stick because my metal pusher was soaking and I was already running behind with a 2pm client at the salon in Reno. The wood didn't scrape or nick the nail plate at all, and her eponychium looked way cleaner than it ever does with the metal tool. Has anyone else switched tools on a fluke and ended up liking the cheaper option better?
Man, this is the same thing that happens with kitchen stuff, people drop big money on fancy gear when the cheap basics do the job better. Sometimes the simple tool just wins.
