Warning: My shampoo pump broke mid-service on Saturday

I was doing a color correction on a regular client around 2 PM. The pump on my gallon of professional shampoo just snapped off at the neck. I had to fish plastic shards out of the bowl and run to the supply closet for a backup bottle. Anyone else had a pump fail on them like that? What do you use for backups?

Did you try decanting it into a squeeze bottle with a pump top?

Honestly, I gotta push back on that a bit. "Decanting it into a squeeze bottle with a pump top" just sounds like more hassle than it's worth for me. I've tried that with a few different products and the pump always clogs up after a couple days, especially if it's anything thicker than water. Plus you end up wasting product that gets stuck in the bottom or the tube. I'd rather just use it out of the original container, even if it's a little messy.
