Climbing an old Grove stick vs. a new Liebherr - night and day difference
I ran cranes back in the 90s on a Grove RT series. You had to climb that thing and feel every vibration through the steel. Last month I got a chance to run a new Liebherr with a cab that rides like a car and I felt almost guilty. The old ways taught you to read the load through your seat bones. But honestly climbing saves you leg strength you don't need anymore. Has anyone else gone back to an older model and felt like you were working twice as hard?

Oh please, it’s not that deep. You’re just craning, not climbing Everest.

And honestly @hannaht29, I feel that. I once spent a full twenty minutes repositioning my monitor by exactly two inches. Really thought I cracked ergonomics that day. My neck felt no different, but my ego sure got a boost.
