Just compared a vague 'write a mystery' prompt to one about a detective who can't solve a case because they're the ghost of the victim.

The second one gave me a full scene in 20 minutes, while the first left me staring at a blank page. What's the most specific prompt that's ever worked for you?

Actually used "a retired MMA fighter turned PI gets hired to find a missing prize fighter from the 90s" and had a full chapter outline in under an hour. The specific detail gave me a character voice, a setting, and a conflict all at once, no guesswork. Vague prompts just make me scroll through junk, clear specific ones actually get me writing instead of overthinking.

Honestly vague prompts work better sometimes. Too much detail just boxes you in from the start.

Actually found the opposite to be true... vague stuff just gives me random junk. Need a clear starting point to build on.
