That Sunday last fall in Portland where I wrote 3,000 words in one sitting
I sat down at a coffee shop on Hawthorne with a prompt about a door that only opens when you're not thinking about it, and suddenly the story just poured out of me in like four hours. Has anyone else had a prompt that just unlocked something weird in your brain like that?

Totally get that. Some prompts just hit different and bypass all your inner filters.

Ain't that the truth. I was trying to help someone with a simple wiring question the other day and wound up spilling my whole life story about my first electrical van. You try to stay professional and then bam, you're telling some stranger about your dad's old tools. It's like the alarm system in your head just shorts out completely.
