Tried writing a horror scene from a squirrel's perspective and it crashed and burned in my writers group
Last Tuesday I sat down at my local library in Portland for our weekly writing circle. I thought it would be clever to write a 500 word piece from a squirrel's point of view during a zombie apocalypse. The other four people just stared at me for like 10 seconds straight. One guy said 'this reads like a kids book but the blood descriptions are way too much.' I felt so dumb lol. Has anyone else had a prompt idea that seemed awesome at 2am but totally bombed when you shared it?

Can't believe someone actually said that out loud. You gotta wonder what else comes out of that person's mouth at dinner parties. Maybe they keep the wild takes for special occasions only.
