I finally switched to a mud board on a job site in Richmond

Yeah I gotta ask @evan_dixon67 about that chimney cap specifically. Was it one of those big heavy copper ones or a standard galvanized? I've seen guys try to muscle those copper caps up a ladder and it never ends well. The way those things wobble on the roof line if you don't have a good setup is just asking for trouble. I rigged a simple pulley system for mine last summer and it made all the difference in the world. What did you end up using to get yours up there.

I finally admitted Git is actually worth the headache

Man, commit messages really do force you to think stuff through before breaking everything, @nathan545.

Always thought power trowels were overkill for small slabs until I helped a guy finish a 300 sq ft patio in 20 minutes flat

Yeah that walking thing is brutal. What model was it you borrowed @barbara278? I always wonder if the cheaper ones are worse about it or if they all do that no matter what you pay. Ive messed with a few and some just seem to have a mind of their own no matter how steady you try to keep your hand.

Cold brew concentrate disaster in my kitchen yesterday

And honestly that tracks because I've seen people online talk about doing cold brew in sealed jars and it's basically a science experiment waiting to go wrong lol. The CO2 from the coffee grounds has nowhere to go and builds up like a soda bottle left in the sun. I've used a french press with the plunger all the way up for years and never had an issue since there's that little gap for air to escape. Plus you can just press it down when it's done and pour straight out. Way less messy than mopping coffee off the floor at 3am.

Tried two ways to cross the same river in the Pasayten Wilderness... one was a total game changer

Found a fallen cedarmthat crosses the Skagit near the dam. Perfect dry path nobody uses.
