Can we talk about how a $75 'cultural sensitivity' course for my Osaka office actually made things worse?
I shelled out 75 bucks for an online course on bowing and business card etiquette before a work trip to Osaka, and on day one I bowed too deep, handed my card with the wrong hand, and my coworker later said I 'tried too hard and it felt weird,' so now I just want to know if anyone else has wasted money on a formal class when the real rules only showed up after a few drinks with the right person?
