Changing my mind about arranged marriages after my cousin in Delhi let me sit in on her meetings
I always called it backward and controlling until my cousin in Delhi let me sit in on three of her meetings last month and I watched her turn down two guys and negotiate her own terms, so now I'm asking has anyone else actually seen it work this way instead of just assuming the worst?

My sister's setup in Pune looked nothing like the horror stories, she met four guys and walked away from two on her own call. I used to roll my eyes at the whole thing and call it old school, but watching her run those talks made me eat my words.
