I spent 2 years over-insulating my attic before a blower door test finally showed me I was actually making things worse
The test guy pointed at my can lights and said 'every one of those is a chimney you sealed with a napkin' and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had to rip out their own work after a simple energy audit?

Oh man, that's rough. Did the audit guy give you any actual solutions for fixing those lights or just leave you to figure it out yourself?

Saw a blog post about those same lights and they said the fix is usually just swapping the ballast, not the whole fixture. Might save you some hassle if you give that a shot.
