Subfloor squeak in our new build got blamed on my dog

We moved into our custom build in Austin back in March and within 2 weeks there was this awful squeak right by the kitchen island. Builder sent his foreman out and he swore it was my lab's nails walking over the same spot daily. I knew that was BS since my dog barely goes near there. So I pulled up a corner of the LVP myself and found a joist hanger that was never nailed in, just sitting loose. Builder did fix it after I sent photos but it took 3 more visits and a stern email to their main office. Has anyone else had their builder gaslight them over obvious framing mistakes?

Man, that is some next level gaslighting! I once blamed my cat for knocking over a plant, but the cat was literally asleep on the couch in the other room, so I feel like builders and I share that same energy. Good on you for actually pulling up the floor, I would've just stomped around angrily and complained to my wife until she fixed it.
